So, as I gather it, A-Net's intent for the HoM is really different than what many were hoping for.

It looks like most players wanted a "myspace" location for GW to show off their account's personality. Show off your drunkard title if you have it, perhaps your odd armor mix-n-match sets, not an entire set of the same type (how many people actually do this? I don't like most complete sets).

Personally, I can see little use for the HoM in its current state. But, I don't know how all this ties in to GW2. I think it is too restrictive right now, and really forces players to take a certain avenue in the game to be worthy of the HoM. It essentially belittles any achievements that don't fall into the assigned categories. Shouldn't our character's heritage in GW2 be more dynamic, with the possibility of being rubbish?

I'm sure my GW2 character would be very proud of his drunkard heritage and mishmash armor handed down to him.

Anyway, I would just prefer to be able to put my top-10 whatever in the hall from anywhere on my account. This is a monument of MY achievements, not my character's in my opinion. I suppose for now I'll let it go as a gimmick, but then again, we don't know A-Net's end game plan for GW2, so we'll just wait and see.

I read that thread, but I think it kind of misses the plot a bit. I agree with most everything stated, but how can people make suggestions for the HoM if we don't know what its supposed to be?

I can see where you're trying to go with this thread. I did think that HoM was going to be more personal then it really is, but Anet may not be finished with it. The only part I'm really concerned about (besides not being able to show off my personal favorite weapons and armor) is the PvE titles monument. I haven't reached "Kind of a Big Deal" and though I do plan to get this title I would rather like to show what titles I have maxed or have reached rank one in. I happen to think it grand that I've reached Survivor title on a few of my characters, but the way HoM is right now it would seem as though no one will know that. There are many flaws thus far, but it was just GW:EN preview weekend and I'm sure Anet has many bugs/errors/kinks to work out. All we can do is give them time.

They're complaining now that the HoM isnt what they thought it would be, never mind what Anet planned it to be all along.

No promises have been broken by Anet, they never specified that mini's wouldnt become customized, they never said that all titles would be displayed, players just ass-u-me-d it would be because that what they wanted it to be. A big E-Peen.

Personally I dont mind either way, I like the HoM and although I do think PvE titles should be added I wouldnt be upset if they werent.
